Everything I've consumed *digitally* over the past week
podcasts and tv shows and music and books and articles
On Saturday, I spent the sunny and warm afternoon reminiscing in the East Village. After a bar crawl through my old neighborhood, my friends and I sat outside at Yuca Bar chatting and people watching. It sits on one of the best corners in the city for the luxurious activity of watching people go by, bustling, young, and chaotic. Our dinner conversation turned to TV shows we’re watching and I once again was confronted with my special skill of consuming media. I am a professional TV watcher, podcast listener, article reader. These are my very worthy distractions that keep my afloat throughout the week. So what’s better than me sharing all of my eats with you all!
Watching
ER - I began my ER journey in mid-April, just after the season finale of its relative, The Pitt, aired. And I’m in love. Many critics may give this title to The Sopranos, but ER is OG prestige television. George Clooney is sexy, like so sexy it frightens me. I only knew him as an older actor who was routinely PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive. Now I finally understand why he is constantly listed with the hottest men in Hollywood.
The Valley - For many years, I resisted watching Bravo shows. The deep history of their franchises overwhelmed me. But, once Scandoval hit the news, I had to dive in. The Valley is a spinoff of Vanderpump Rules and stars truly horrible people. I couldn’t recommend it more.
Bravo’s Love Hotel - Bravo’s first ever dating show! Hosted by very hot comedian Joel Kim Booster, four housewives - Shannon Beador, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, and Luann De Lesseps - date an array of older men while on vacation in Mexico.
