Everything I've consumed *digitally* over the past two weeks
The Bear, The Bezos Wedding, and SkinnyTok (I tried for an alliteration and failed)
Something about me is that I stay consuming media. No matter the weather, I will be watching TV, reading books, and listening to podcasts. Summer is an incredible time for reality television, to escape into a good novel, and to mosey through parks while listening to a long pod. Here’s everything I’ve consumed recently!
Watching
The Bear — The fourth season featuring everyone’s favorite chef just dropped. I’ve watched seven episodes and I just love it so much. While season three was chaotic and anxiety riddled, this season is calm, peaceful even. We’re finally seeing these characters be happy!
Love Island USA — At first, I thought this season was going to be incredible, but dear Readers, I fear I was wrong. The contestants are emotionally immature and the producers aren’t treating this like Love Island. The most recent heart rate challenge veered drastically from the classic DANCE challenge and felt more like….a giant OnlyFans set.
The Town — I’d never seen this Ben Affleck film from 2010, but it comes up enough in pop culture that I became convinced I needed to see it. And it was good! Twisty bank robbery film set in Boston. Blake Lively gives her best performance in it and I won’t take any disagreements.
Ransom Canyon — Literally no comment on why or how I watched all ten episodes of this Netflix soap opera.
